Joseph Cashia – Chairman, President CEO

Joe Cashia is a 35-plus-year veteran of the healthcare industry who has partnered with physicians and hospitals across the country and has created, acquired and managed more than 1,000 healthcare centers.

Nationally and regionally awarded for his healthcare leadership, Cashia founded Ascend Healthcare Services LLC, Compliance Partners, Vivere Health LLC, National Renal Alliance, National Nephrology Associates LLC and Renal Care Group. Serving as Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer of these companies, he led successful business strategies including private equity and initial public offerings, using both public and private debt. He is also on the board of Servis First Bank of Nashville, TN.

Cashia holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Alabama, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samford University, and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management.

Brenda H. Lepley  - Chief Operations Officer

Brenda Lepley has more than 30 years of public and private sector experience as a nurse and healthcare executive.

She was Chief Clinical and Compliance Officer and Chief Operations Officer for Vivere Health LLC, Chief Operations officer for National Renal Alliance, and Director of Compliance and Risk Management for National Nephrology Associates LLC. Lepley co-founded and served as President and CEO of Integrity Services LLC, a provider of compliance and risk management services. She also was Vice President of Health Services Corporate of America, Tennessee Hospital Association and Diversified Shared Services, the for-profit division of THA that provides goods and services to 150 Tennessee hospitals.

Lepley holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee.

Gina Zylstra - Chief Strategy Officer

Gina Zylstra has extensive experience in the legal and operational aspects of in-center hemodialysis, PD and home hemodialysis, chronic kidney disease (CKD), kidney transplant, payer relationships and contracting, risk management, laboratory, clinical research and pharmacy. She is an expert in regulatory and compliance, having served as General Counsel for Dialysis Clinics Inc. from 2005 to 2015.

Most recently Gina headed operational efforts for DCI relative to corporate contracts, acquisitions and new business projects. Specifically, Gina negotiated and assessed risk in payer contracts and was part of the leadership team that developed REACH Kidney Care Division for the purpose of providing CKD services to patients and insurers.

Gina has her Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee, her Juris Doctor from Samford University Cumberland School of Law and is a candidate for Masters in Business Administration from Auburn University.

Julie Maples – Chief Financial Officer

Julie Maples is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years experience in healthcare accounting and finance, including electronic health records and multi-site, outpatient facilities.

Knowledgeable about human capital management, payroll and sales management, Maples has served as an executive team member for several startups and understands the challenges. Previously, she was Chief Financial Officer of Digichart and Regional Controller for Gambro Dialysis Care.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Maples is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Pamela Anderson - Chief Communications Officer

Pamela Anderson is a learning leader and instructional designer with more than 30 years of experience designing and delivering learning in the renal industry.

Pamela comes to RCO from Spectra Laboratories, a division of Fresenius Medical Care. As Director of Field Education and Development with Spectra, her experience spans many functional areas including sales, marketing, learning design, and software development.

She introduced distance learning tools to Spectra Laboratories over 20 years ago and is a strong advocate for using technology to deliver in-person and online interactive learning.

Pamela has her Bachelor of Education from Western Kentucky University, a Masters in Adult Education and Instructional Design from University of Phoenix and several postgraduate courses from Harvard University (Extension School).

David Bradley– Executive Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions

David Bradley has more than 20 year’s experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions and healthcare services transactions.

The healthcare executive raised investment funds, acquired and developed dialysis and surgery centers and developed de novo opportunities and partnerships with physicians and hospitals for Concord Behavioral Health, Vivere Health LLC and National Renal Alliance. At National Renal Alliance, Bradley raised the original $15 million investment and helped the company grow to 45 centers in 10 states.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland, Bradley has a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management.

Gwyneth Taylor R.N – Vice President, Clinical Operations

Gwyneth Taylor is a registered nurse with more than 30 years of clinical and managerial experience caring for end-stage renal disease patients.

With expertise in chronic, acute and in-home dialysis therapy, Taylor has held management positions with Pure Life Renal, Fresenius, DaVita, RAI and National Renal Alliance.

A graduate of Bliss School of Nursing in Belize, Central America, Taylor is past president of the American Nephrology Nurses Association Cardinal Chapter. She also served on the ESRD Network 6 Board as the vice chair for Georgia.
